What is Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is a simple and safe procedure for exfoliating the face and ridding of fine vellus hairs (peach fuzz).  Dermaplaning uses a sterile surgical scalpel specially designed for the face to gently remove the top layer of dead skin. Dermaplaning is more gentle, yet deeper exfoliating than microdermabrasion.

How many Dermaplane sessions are required to see results?

Dermaplaning is a great method of exfoliating the skin which is a permanent ongoing process. Typically, you will benefit from a course of at least 4 treatments over a short period of time. Long term you will need to maintain it as the skin is constantly growing.

Is Dermaplaning safe for women with skin conditions?

Dermaplaning is safe for any skin type except for active or cystic acne.

Is there any downtime needed after a Dermaplaning session?

No, it does leave a mild sunburnt feeling for a short time after so moisturizer and sunscreen are recommended.

After Dermaplaning is done once, am I committed to it for the rest of my life?

No, your vellus hairs will grow back and will look just as they did before you started.

Do I need to still wax if I get Dermaplaning done? 

No, there is no more need to wax as the Dermaplaning involves the use of a scalpel which curves into a sharp point, it gets closer to the hair follicle than normal shaving.
